This week’s challenge encourages us to look where we don’t normally look and hopefully, find beauty.
There was an abundance of fruits in the wet market today, and the fruit section of the market was in perfumed chaos. Fresh bananas and papayas and pineapples were tightly stacked on the market tables, threatening to topple like a stack of toy bricks. Wayward fruits were already rolling off the sacks of newly delivered produce. Several vendors already laid down tarpaulins of ripe fruit on the market floor for the buyers to stoop down and take their pick. It looked like someone overturned a jewelry box of beads on the wet market floor.
The picture below is what I saw at my feet when we were picking through the fruit. Such vibrant tomatoes! Such mischievous looking pineapples!
