WW11 Weekly Photo Challenge: Through

This week’s challenge for me is an exercise in framing. No deep metaphysical thoughts today folks, sorry.

1. A Maranao house seen through Casa Binondo in Las Casas Filipinas de Azucar in Bataan. I love the contrast of the unyielding, structured stone window vs the soft, natural materials of the house beyond.

2. Three doors, a window and a tourist. Old Filipino houses usually would align doors and windows to maximize air flow in tropical weather.

3. View passing through the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Also memorable because we went “through” a lot of firsts when this shot was taken: first time my cousin L drove in the US and  first time my cousins and I actually went on a long road trip without our respective parents. Good times.
